It’s been a long, long time since I had a spa experience, it is probably a few years since I last had a massage at a spa. I’ve had foot massage sessions but not the full body massage which is the most relaxing and rejuvenating. Yesterday afternoon I was at Sompoton Spa Dorsett Grand Subang to try out their Rejuvenate Spa treatment (n/p RM430 but there’s a promotion now at RM280). This treatment includes their Signature Massage (60 min), Body Scrub (choose between Coconut, Salt or Turmeric), , Herbal Ball Detox & Milk Bath.
It was rather hectic yesterday afternoon as my media event in the morning ran late and I arrived at Sompoton Spa half an hour late but the receptionist was most accommodating. I’d WhatsApped them to let them know I’d be late. My assigned therapist was waiting for me and I was asked to have a seat while she prepared the room for my session.
My therapist, Dewi has years of experience as a massage therapist. She’s been with Sompoton Spa for over a year. After ushering me into one of the rooms, she asked me to change into a white robe and soak my feet in a tub of warm water. She then proceeded to scrub my feet which felt really good.
Next it was the body scrub with my choice of scrub – coconut. It seems I definitely needed this scrub as a lot of dead skin cells were exfoliated especially on my back. Dewi did a fantastic job of scrubbing every inch of my skin. It’s good to go for a through body scrub every once in a while.
The milk bath in the ensuite had been prepared and I soaked in the quite hot water in the bathtub. This is great for relieving sore muscles. I rinsed away all the scrub and was left with smooth skin. Then I changed into fresh underwear and towel for the oil massage session.
You can request for a stronger massage, it’s very therapeutic and soothing. The Herbal Balls are placed on my back as Dewi begins my massage. It can get rather hot so I asked for the Herbal Balls to be removed and re-placed on a different section of my back. As expected from a therapist with years of experience, the massage was excellent and I was literally in good hands.
One can drift off to a gentle slumber when given such a top-notch massage. 2 hours passes by quickly and I’d say the whole session is worth the price as you get pampered so well. Try this treatment or any other treatments offered by Sompoton Spa. It’s even better to go with a family member or a friend. My room has 2 beds side-by-side so it’s perfect for a couple or girls’ day out.
