Avenue K Food Adventure Was Rewarding In More Ways Than One

When I embarked on the Avenue K Food Adventure last year, it was out of curiousity and fun. I didn’t even know there was a contest among the bloggers. All I wanted was to visit as many restaurants/food outlets as my stomach allowed and review each one honestly. At that time, I was told that we had 2 weeks to submit our reviews (little did I know that deadline was flexible, I am such a stickler for rules) which meant I was posting an average of 1 food review a day for a fortnight.

Well folks, I am pleased to say that my efforts paid off because somehow or other, I was officially informed yesterday that Juniper’s Journal won the Best Blogger prize which is RM500 worth of AK shopping vouchers.

When I read the email with the words “Best Blogger”, I almost fell off my chair and had to re-read a few times because I thought my poor eyesight was playing tricks on me. What! Really? Seriously? Just when I was beginning to lose faith in this whole blogging business for so many reasons, suddenly this was like a silver lining in a cloud.

I want to sincerely thank Gina of Avenue K for being so kind and nice as to have personally invited me for this experience. I am absolutely flattered and so appreciative that the mall (which I hang out in regularly) has recognized my reviews to the extent of awarding Juniper’s Journal Best Blogger in the AK Food Adventure.
