Ahmad Tea celebrated its 40th anniversary with a Ruby Jubilee celebration in Malaysia, marking four decades of family heritage, tea craftsmanship and an enduring commitment to quality. Founded in Southampton, England, in 1986 by Mr. Rahim Afshar and his brothers, Ahmad Tea was built upon a simple yet enduring family principle: quality should never be compromised, and every product should be worthy of being served in the family home.
FROM A SMALL TEA SHOP TO GLOBAL DISTINCTION
Ahmad Tea’s journey began with a small family tea shop in Southampton and has since become that of a globally respected British tea company. Despite its international presence, the brand remains family-owned and firmly rooted in its founding passion for tea. Through discerning tea selection, masterful blending and an uncompromising commitment to quality, Ahmad Tea has developed an extensive portfolio encompassing classic British black teas, refined herbal infusions and contemporary tea varieties. This breadth reflects both the company’s heritage and the evolving tastes of tea drinkers around the world.
The Ruby Jubilee celebration in Malaysia brought Ahmad Tea’s remarkable journey to life through a 40-Year Heritage Wall, thoughtfully curated tea-tasting sessions and an elegant presentation of the brand’s extensive portfolio.
40 YEARS, A NEW CHAPTER
The 40th anniversary also marks an exciting new chapter for Ahmad Tea, with the launch of its Sencha and the appointment of Premier League footballer Antoine Semenyo as its Global Brand Ambassador. The partnership forms part of Ahmad Tea’s global “Preparation Is Everything” campaign, which celebrates the importance of preparation, discipline and consistency in achieving excellence. The campaign reflects a philosophy shared by both Ahmad Tea and Semenyo — that excellence is not achieved by chance, but through preparation and a commitment to getting the details right. The Sencha launch similarly represents Ahmad Tea’s continued evolution, bringing its tea-blending expertise to a new expression of tea while embracing the diverse traditions and preferences of today’s tea drinkers.
HONOURING HERITAGE, EMBRACING THE FUTURE
As Ahmad Tea enters its next decade, the brand remains committed to evolving with consumers while preserving the principles that have guided the family business for four decades. From its Southampton beginnings to its expanding international presence, Ahmad Tea’s purpose remains unwavering: to create tea worthy of every home. The Ruby Jubilee celebration in Malaysia honors this enduring commitment — celebrating 40 years of heritage while raising a cup to the many moments still to come.
