Burger & Lobster KLCC Which Satisfies Lobster Cravings

Burger & Lobster KLCC

Now we all know that lobster dishes are expensive, much more than other types of seafood but it isn’t my favourite kind of seafood. Burger & Lobster KLCC hasn’t been open that long and I can understand why there was a queue when I went there in December last year. It looks like a premium restaurant, the decor is elegant and you can almost imagine you are in an overseas restaurant, the bar area in particular is quite lovely.

Salted Egg Yolk Prawns & Calamari

The starters, Salted Egg Yolk Prawns & Calamari (RM60) was very good and I liked the presentation. The fried prawns and clamari were indeed satisfyingly crispy and the batter wasn’t too thick. It came with salted egg yolk sauce which is an ideal accompaniment.

The Original Lobster Roll

The main course was The Original Lobster Roll (RM130) which I believe is one of their signature dishes, the other being The Mayfair Burger (RM68). The Original Lobster Roll consists of chilled lobster meat dressed in lemon mayo and served in their signature brioche roll with a garnish of chives and their signature lemon and garlic butter. The brioche is stuffed full of the lobster meat and came with Fries and Salad (extra RM15). While the lobster meat was rather good but not outstanding (to me anyway), the brioche was way too dry so I ended up eating just the filling. The Fries were much better than the brioche.

Mini Pistachio Leches

I was served a smaller version of their Pistachio Tres Leches (full size is RM40). This is caramel sponge soaked in rich pistachio milk, topped with vanilla whipped cream, pistachio crumbles and raspberries. I know this is a strange thing to say about a restaurant that specialises and is famous for lobster but that night the most memorable food for me was the starters and dessert.
