A Non-Durian Fan Can Get To Like Durians At Malaysia’s International Durian & Cultural Fest 2022

20220716_122714When I was invited to Malaysia’s International Durian & Cultural Fest 2022 official launch, I was wondering how much durian I would consume as I am not a durian fan at all. I haven’t had any durian for more than ten years and have absolutely no craving for it but if it’s in front of me, I will try some.

Malaysia’s International Durian & Cultural Fest 2022 was organised by Dking Durian and hosted by Pavilion Bukit Jalil over 2 days (16th & 17th July 2022). Visitors paid RM88 for a 1-hour all-you-can-eat durian buffet which included durian varieties such as XO, Udang Merah, Butter King, Hor Lor and other types of durian in similar range.

Strangely enough for me, it was on the whole quite delicious and I managed to devour almost one entire tray before calling it quits.

I don’t think it’d be worth it for me to pay for a durian buffet since I can’t eat much or share the same enthusiasm for this fruit as many others. However, I was surprised that it was more enjoyable than I expected.
