Other than using skincare to maintain one’s healthy skin, there are lots of beauty drinks out there ranging from those with fruit extract to those with collagen. When I received this box of Brand’s InnerShine Prune Essence (12 bottles) during the recent Brand’s InnerShine event, I couldn’t wait to try it, that was 12 days ago. I finished the last bottle this morning.
So why drink prune essence other than to hopefully get more radiant skin? Prunes are high in fibre which helps promote regular bowel movement and maintain a healthy digestive system. Now that would tempt me to get the drink more than the promise of youthful skin because I am sceptical that a box of prune essence can give me youthful looking skin. I am all for regular bowel movement since I don’t exactly have the most regular movement in that respect (ahem!).
This prune essence tastes best chilled. At first I was drinking it at room temp but then I wondered what it would taste like chilled. It tastes a lot sharper and nicer. The essence is very concentrated, thick and rich in prunes. I don’t think my skin has become more radiant/fairer but it doesn’t hurt to treat yourself to a boost of Vitamin E and antioxidants such as are contained in Brand’s InnerShine Prune Essence every once in a while.
