Boots Botanics Soothing Eye Make Up Remover

Product Description from Boots’ official website:-

Botanics Soothing Eye Make Up Remover effortlessly removes eye make up even waterproof mascara while also comforting and soothing the eye area, containing soothing Iceland Moss with high sugar content which helps to hydrate and calm skin as well as cleanse . Plant extracts at levels that really work, combined and formulated for unbeatable product performance. Naturally. Authenticated by Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

One of the items I hauled back from Boots, Bangkok was Boots Botanics Soothing Eye Make Up Remover. A long time ago, when I first started using skincare from Boots, I liked their Elderflower Eye Make Up Remover a lot (of course as with most good products, this one has been discontinued years ago).

Boots Botanics is a range that combines active plant extracts in carefully balanced formulations. Actually, there were a few other items in that range that were tempting but I had to restrain myself since I didn’t know how heavy my luggage was going to be on the return trip back home.

To use the Soothing Eye Make Up Remover, you have to give the bottle a good shake to combine the 2 layers, it’s oil on the bottom half and water on the top half. The cap of this bottle is kind of old-fashioned, I find the packaging a bit retro although I’d have preferred if it came in a pump bottle for easier dispensation.

It’s just as good as I expected it to be, removing all traces of eye make up and leaving no residues. All I need is one cotton pad soaked with this Remover. There’s no need to rub my eyes either as I just have to hold the cotton pad against my eyelids for a few seconds and it all comes right off.

Although there is some oil content, I don’t find it too greasy on my eyelids. It doesn’t irritate my eyes and it’s actually quite soothing and moisturising. Thumbs up to this one, will be replenishing on my next trip to a Boots outlet.

It comes in a slim, tall plastic bottle and is 150ml/150 baht or approximately RM15. Good value, excellent quality as it removes even waterproof and generally hard-to-remove eye make up, can’t ask for much more.
