Sephora Full Action Extreme Effect Mascara

On Sephora’s official website, the Full Action Extreme Effect Mascara is described as “a mascara that creates beautiful, thick lashes in a single brush stroke” and as a “seven-in-one mascara” which volumises, lengthens, curves, separates, strengthens, protects and nourishes.

It is available in 5 shades – ultra black, black, brown, blue and purple. The one I have for this review is in ultra black. I’d say that the brush is medium sized, neither too thick nor too thin. It’s able to reach the base of my lashes and it lives up to its name as an ultra black.

This mascara separates and defines each individual lash very well and there is no clumping at all, not for me anyway. However, it only volumises and lengthens lashes slightly, certainly not as much I hoped it would. I tried applying more layers but the effect was still the same as seen above.

Within a few hours’ of wear, there was some minimal smudging on the under-eye area. It isn’t a waterproof mascara but then again, whether a mascara is waterproof or not doesn’t affect my decision to purchase a mascara since waterproof mascaras have a tendency to smudge on me too.

The Full Action Extreme Effect Mascara is 14ml and retails at RM69, available at Sephora outlets.
