These new eye shadow quads from L’Oreal Paris come in black and gold cases which feel extremely light. Packaging aside, what these offer are two collections – The Smoky Collection (6 quads) & The Luminous Collection (2 quads). Briefly, The Smoky Collection has a nude, bronze, grey, rose, lilac and blue quad.
The Luminous Collection has these 2 quads – Hidden Gems and Emerald Conquest, the latter quad is the object of my review. This is also my preferred quad of the two since I do have a penchant for greens and blues and teals. Basically, these are shimmery palettes. Colour pay-off is very good so you don’t need to apply layers and layers to get the colour to show.
The colours in the Emerald Conquest quad are very dense and pigmented. However, it can get a bit powdery and crumbly when picking up with fingers so be gentle if using fingers or use a brush/sponge tip applicator. I do like the turquoise and I think all the colours complement each other well enough to create a smoky look if required.
