Guest Review : Kate Eyeliner Pencil RT In BR-1

Kate Eyeliner Pencil RT is an eyeliner that has the effect of a liquid eyeliner. Some of us may prefer pencil eyeliners yet wish they had the effect of liquid eyeliners. I find pencil eyeliners easier to use than liquid eyeliners but liquid eyeliners always seem to look better. Of course, a major consideration in choosing an eyeliner be it pencil or liquid, is that it should not smudge. Misty reviews the Kate Eyeliner Pencil RT In BR-1.

Personally, I love the easy convenience of pencil eyeliners but would rather skip the smudgy panda eyes that come with kohl pencils at the end of a day. So I jumped at the chance of trying Kate’s Eyeliner Pencil RT. While it appears to be a regular automatic pencil eyeliner, a creamy, smooth formula is actually poured into the tube. So Kate promises the long wear of a liquid liner with the portability of a pencil.

One thing to note is that this pencil functions differently from old school automatic liners. When wound, the pencil clicks to dispense the liner, but because of the super soft formula, there isn’t a way of winding it back into the tube.

The shade that I tried is the brown BR-1, with the only other option being black. The liner glides on smoothly without tugging or skipping, and can be blended slightly before it sets, which I believe takes less than a minute. Once on, the liner stays on forever! Well, just short of forever at about 9 hours, which is long enough to last through a work day and dinner after. Thank goodness the rest of liner comes off with a little cleansing lotion.

Kate’s eyeliners are known to impress with high quality formulas at good prices, and this one is no different. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who prefers pencil liners over other types.
