15th Latin American Festival In Kuala Lumpur: A Celebration Of Culture And Unity

The vibrant and much-anticipated 15th Latin American Festival is set to take place on October 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM at BBPark, Bukit Bintang.

This year, eight embassies will participate: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay. Each embassy will have its own booth, offering traditional food and beverages, providing a unique opportunity to experience the diverse flavours of Latin America.

Dean of the GRULAC, Brazilian Ambassador Ary Quintella stresses the history of the festival: “Reaching its landmark 15th Edition, the Latin American Festival is already a traditional and consolidated event in the cultural calendar of Kuala Lumpur. The number of visitors grows every year, and those who attend always look forward to next year’s celebration”.

One of the highlights of this year’s festival is the energetic dance troupe from Chile, set to bring an electrifying performance to the stage. Attendees can also look forward to the vibrant chacarera and zamba from Argentina, the passionate tango and the candombe from Uruguay, the rhythmic beats of Brazilian Batucada and Capoeira, the colourful dances from Mexico, the soulful Andean music from Peru, and live performances from Colombian and Cuban musicians, promising a spectacular show.

The festival main sponsors are BlueStar AMG and Ethiopian Airlines. A special raffle will be held, featuring exciting prizes including a round-trip economy ticket to either São Paulo or Buenos Aires, courtesy of Ethiopian Airlines, along with other prizes sponsored by Plaza Low Yat.

Join them for a day of celebration, as we mark 15 years of bringing the vibrant cultures of Latin America to the heart of Kuala Lumpur. This festival is not just an event; it is a testament to the enduring friendship and cultural exchange between Malaysia and Latin America.
