There’s no doubt we love fried chicken as there are usually long queues outside eateries that specialise in fried chicken, many of such eateries originate from South Korea. However some fried chicken may not travel well, when we get it home or have it delivered to our doorstep, the chicken may have lost its crispiness. Well good news for those of us who want our fried chicken delivered to our home as crispy as if it was delivered straight to our table when we dine-in. Fast Casual Hospitality Sdn Bhd; the parent company of Mikey’s New York Pizza and NY Burger Co. has come up with just such fried chicken about two weeks ago!
This is Southern American cuisine which blends both traditional American and local Malaysian flavors to bring the best of the east and the west together. Locally farmed Malaysian chili padi bring home the flavor of this spicy fried chicken, while the traditional old fashioned American flavors power their original fried chicken.
Our chicken is complemented by choices of two (2) different chopped house salads (American and Italian), homemade mac and cheese, and savory garlic bread with home baked bread.
You can also choose to have the Southern Fried Chicken in a burger – a chunky boneless chicken thigh, fried to perfection, accompanied by a handful of dill pickles and mayonnaise to complement the flavor on a classic white bread bun. The Spicy Chicken Burger is flavored fried boneless chicken thigh marinated in local spices, partnered with their homemade spicy crack sauce and dill pickles.
The Southern Fried Chicken is so crispy that you can hear the crunch with every bite. It retains the moistness in the meat and whether you choose to have the chicken pieces or boneless version in the burgers, you can be sure this is one of the crispiest chicken in town.
