Ever since Clinique launched the Repairwear Laser Focus, it’s become my go-to serum. I’ve realised I can’t live without it and I get withdrawal symptoms when I’ve run out of it. I’ve recently replenished with 2 bottles so that I have my serum and a spare. Indeed, the Repairwear Laser Focus is so good to me that whenever I see deepening lines around my lips, I dab some on the lines and it really does decrease the depth of the lines.

However, this review isn’t about the Repairwear Laser Focus per se. It’s about Repairwear Laser Focus incorporated into a foundation known as the Repairwear Laser Focus All Smooth Makeup SPF15. It comes in a 30ml glass bottle without a pump. I’d have preferred a pump bottle or a bottle with a small nozzle. The opening of this bottle is big and I have to place my finger over the opening to control the amount that comes out.

This foundation is quite thick in consistency and if too much is applied, it is more difficult to absorb into my skin. My bottle is in shade 03 which suits me fine (I believe there are 12 shades altogether but only 6 shades will be available here) so I think 03 should suit light/fair skin tones.

Coverage is medium to full but this is the kind of foundation which you can actually feel on your skin. It feels a bit heavy on my skin but not cakey. Although it doesn’t settle into fine lines or look pasty, it feels slippery even when I’ve set it with loose powder so I don’t think it’ll be suitable for those with oily skins.

It has a little dewy effect on my skin and while I can’t say it is my favourite foundation, I can appreciate it for its containing Repairwear Laser Focus. I just hope there is enough of Repairwear Laser Focus inside to make a difference in the long term.

I think that it’s easier to apply this foundation with a brush than with fingers. It takes more time to apply with fingers than with a brush. One has to be careful not to use too much as this is one foundation where a little goes a very long way.

Although it has SPF15, I do apply a higher SPF sunscreen underneath. It’s not a foundation for everyone but if you do have dry combination skin, it may just work for you. It’s 30ml and retails at RM125.
