Kiehl’s Açaí Damage-Repairing Skincare Collection is a range that addresses the first signs of aging as a result of overexposure to environmental aggressors and free radicals. This is the first full skincare collection (cleanser, toning mist, serum, moisturizer) utilizing Açaí to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles, even skin tone, increase luminosity and renew skin vitality. This range was introduced in 2009.
The Damage-Repairing formulas are certified organic by ECOCERT (some ingredients are from organic farming), all the ingredients are of 100% natural origin. The key ingredient, Açaí Berry is said to help visibly correct skin tone and texture damage.
Both the serum and moisturizer contain alcohol but the alcohol scent is stronger in the moisturizer than the serum. With regard to the serum, I could only smell the blend of plant oils – lavender, orange, jojoba, rosemary, apricot kernel, etc. However, the inclusion of alcohol in the products may be of concern to some especially those with sensitive skins.
Of the two, I liked the serum a whole lot more as it has a watery, caramel, non-sticky consistency. As for the moisturizer, it’s quite thick so with this one, a little goes a long way. I think the moisturizer may be more ideal as a night cream but of course it can be used during the day if you don’t mind the thicker texture.
The Serum is 50ml/RM190 and the Moisturizer is 75ml/RM170.
