Yesterday morning was interesting as I joined a number of other media for a preview of The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale @ the Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC). It was my 1st time ever at a Big Bad Wolf Book Sale which has been on a 2-year hiatus in KL. Anyone who had pre-registered for the sale were in this ginormous hall and there were actually a lot of people even though the sale is not open to all until today. Approximately 3.5 million books in Malay, English and Chinese are available so do allocate at least a couple of hours for this sale. I browsed for 2 hours after the media tour and have to return another day as I didn’t manage to see everything.
Book lovers can rejoice as prices are so much lower at this sale and the sheer variety of books in all topics is remarkable. Just in time to fill those stockings for Christmas presents! The sale will be on from today till 2 January 2023. The sale opens at 10.00 am to 2.00 am every day.
To add to the excitement, customers who attend the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale have the opportunity to participate in a “Lucky Draw” where five winners will be picked daily for a chance to win a RM50 voucher starting from now tilll 2 January 2023 at 2 am. One lucky winner will walk home with the Grand Prize of a trolley full of books of their choice. To participate in the Lucky Draw, a customer has to spend RM200 on a single receipt and be eligible for one (1) Lucky Draw ticket.
The other contest not to be missed is the “Spend. Share & Win” contest where one (1) winner will take home a Gaming PC worth RM6,999 (Big Bad Wolf KL Edition) sponsored by PCU. To participate, just spend a minimum of RM250 on a single receipt and post a picture of the purchase with the hashtag #BBWXPCUKL in the caption (set the profile to public). The winner will be selected based on the most creative post and caption. *Terms and conditions apply
What’s more, Big Bad Wolf Books will partner with local Malaysian publishers to bring an array of educational and entertainment Malay-language book titles from Kualiti Books, IMAN Shoppe, Prestasi Pelangi, PTS, Pustaka Azhar, Sasbadi and many more. Book lovers will have the opportunity to shop for some crazy amazing deals that are affordable and friendly on the pocket.
As part of the Big Bad Wolf Books’ CSR initiative, the Red Readerhood (RRH) program is collaborating with two NGOs, Friends for Mankind Malaysia’s The Book Effect project and Project AIME, a Malaysian-based youth-led activist, to donate books to several orphanages in Malaysia. The Big Bad Wolf Books would like to encourage customers and visitors to the Book Sale to be part of the book donation drive by choosing and donating a book or two from the Red Readerhood corner.
The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is a Hybrid Book Sale this year so if for some reason you cannot visit the on-ground Book Sale @ MIECC, you have the option of shopping 24 hours from the comfort of your home at the Big Bad Wolf Online Book Sale, running concurrently from today to 2 January 2023.Sit back and browse for your favourite books @ http://my.bbwbooks.com/
