MPH Bookstores – the treasured household name and pioneer in the book retail business – has officially launched its 10th outlet at the Alamanda Shopping Centre, the best shopping mall in Putrajaya. The fantastic new store marks the next chapter in MPH Bookstores’ commitment to fostering a love for literature and knowledge within the community.

The opening of the iconic bookstore brand’s latest retail outlet was officiated by Yang Berhormat Fadhlina Sidek, Minister of Education. Also present were Putrajaya Director of Education Tuan Haji Ezaiddin Hussain and MPH Bookstores CEO Martin Cross.

Attendees at the grand opening also included book enthusiasts, MPH MRewards members, local publishers and suppliers, the media, and pupils and teachers from Putrajaya’s 16 primary schools, all drawn by MPH’s dedication to curating a wide range of books, magazines, stationery and gift items that appeal to all types of customers.

The grand opening also included a special gift presentation session by YB Fadhlina and Tuan Haji Ezaiddin to the Putrajaya primary school students who attended.

The 5,000 sq ft store at Alamanda sees the continued roll-out of the fresh new bookstore design first seen at MPH’s iconic flagship store at The Exchange TRX. This contemporary design, featuring natural blond wood and bronze detailing, marks the new direction of MPH as an inspirational and modern destination. With its inviting design and curated selection of books, gifts and more, the store aims to be a cherished space for readers, families and other visitors alike.

MPH Alamanda caters to readers of all ages and interests. The fun and refreshing children’s section will ignite young imaginations and nurture reading and creative minds. In his welcome address, CEO Martin Cross expressed his enthusiasm for the new store, stating that “We were here before – in this very location, until the COVID pandemic – and we are thrilled to be back, better and bolder, bringing the best books, educational toys and games, gifts and stationery to our fans here in Putrajaya and beyond.”
