Luckin Coffee Malaysia Is Now Officially Halal Certified, Offering More Trusted Coffee Experience

Dr Jeff Lim shares that Luckin Coffee Malaysia has been Halal certified by JAKIM, marking a key milestone since the brand’s entry into Malaysia in January

In Malaysia, Halal is widely recognised as a benchmark of quality and trust, not merely a niche label. Aligning with the nation’s ambition to shape a more trusted environment with halal standards, Luckin Coffee Malaysia, a leading international coffee chain, has proudly obtained Halal certification from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) for its outlets at Sunway Velocity 2 and AEON Maluri. This milestone underscores the brand’s commitment to delivering high-quality beverages that meet Halal requirements for all Malaysians, while honouring the country’s respected values and principles.

“We are proud to assure Malaysians that LUCKIN COFFEE is now officially Halal certified. This is our commitment to ensuring that every customer can enjoy beverages from LUCKIN COFFEE with full confidence and assurance. With this certification, we enhance our bond with the community and reaffirm our promise of delivering trusted quality to all Malaysians,” said Dr. Jeff Lim, CEO of Luckin Coffee Malaysia.

Luckin Coffee Malaysia: Global Brand, Local Passion, Halal Standard

Since entering the Malaysian market in January 2025, LUCKIN COFFEE has been focused on bringing seamless retail experience with technology-driven convenience, innovation, and affordability.

“As a brand proudly operated by Malaysians, we take Halal standards very seriously as part of our commitment to going local. This goes beyond assuring the community; it is about building a safer, trusted, and more confident choice for all Malaysians. By taking this firm stance, we aim to solidify LUCKIN COFFEE’s presence in Malaysia further,” echoed Dr Jeff Lim.

“Even before LUCKIN COFFEE officially entered Malaysia, obtaining Halal certification was already our top priority. We set up a dedicated Halal and quality assurance team to ensure strict compliance in every part of our operations, from sourcing raw ingredients, supplier selection, premise practices, right down to how our beverages are served. These relentless efforts played a key role in ensuring a smooth and timely Halal certification process,” said Ahmad Aminurrashid bin Abd Aziz, Halal Compliance Manager, Luckin Coffee Malaysia.
