When it comes to providers of beauty services, I like to stick with those who make me want to return again and again and who give me a sense of credibility. I have been to manicure salons where I was horrified at how they remove the gel polish and those who rush through the job as though I am on a conveyor belt. My nails are already soft and not in the best condition therefore I don’t want to do them more harm than good no matter how low the price may be.

In LS Beauty & Nail Art House, the founder Lucyy (yes her name has 2 “y”s) has 15 years experience and while her main salon is located in Klang, she has a branch in Bandar Baru Sri Petaling within Rokit Salon. After my hair colouring there a few weeks ago, I spoke to Lucyy and asked her about her manicure services. She has a wide variety of colours and so many OPI gel polish as well as some from Japan. I could see she uses high quality products which give me confidence in her.

From my initial 15 minute conversation with Lucyy, I had a sense that I’d go back and sign up for her gel manicure package at RM150 for 6 times. For one thing, I could speak to her in my preferred language, English instead of having to struggle with Mandarin or Cantonese. Not that I struggle much with Cantonese but if possible, of course I prefer to converse in English.

I love it when a manicurist uses OPI products and here, Lucyy used OPI cucumber scrub, cucumber mask and cucumber massage on my hands. So indulgent! It made me feel so good as the scent is sublime.

lilac

I chose these 2 OPI shades, a lilac and a dark purple for a bit of contrast.

No nail art this time round as I was in a hurry but the next time, I hope Lucyy will use her nail art skills on me. Meanwhile, I love my lilac/purple nails, colour is so sweet and the topcoat Lucyy applied makes them look so glossy. You only have to look at the number of nail art brushes in Lucyy’s salon to know she is dead serious about her craft.

Lucyy can be contacted on Facebook or 019 222 3110.
