Le Méridien Putrajaya, an award-winning upscale hotel blending contemporary hospitality with art and design, marks its 10th anniversary with its 10 Years of Excellence Anniversary Soirée, celebrating a decade of hospitality, discovery and memorable experiences.

The evening was graced by Yang Berusaha Encik Chua Choon Hwa, Deputy Secretary-General (Tourism), Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC); Dato’ Lee Yeow Seng, Group Chief Executive Officer of IOI Properties Group; and Yang Berhormat Datin Yeo Bee Yin, alongside representatives from IOI Properties Group, Marriott International, partners and guests.
Since opening its doors, Le Méridien Putrajaya has evolved beyond a premium lifestyle stay into an integrated destination, bringing together accommodation, dining, business gatherings, weddings and leisure with the convenience of direct connectivity to IOI City Mall. Its direct connection to the largest mall in Malaysia places the hotel within an integrated lifestyle destination, while offering travellers a convenient base from which to explore Putrajaya.
A decade on, that progression is reflected in two recent industry recognitions: Best Lifestyle Hotel Experience at the Tourism Industry Awards 2026, and recognition for Le Mei, the hotel’s signature Chinese restaurant, under the Best Specialty Cuisine Restaurants category at the HAPA® Awards 2026 Series 2.

Reflecting on the milestone, Sonal Malik, General Manager of Le Méridien Putrajaya, said:
“Over the past ten years, we have had the privilege of welcoming guests for many different moments, from stays and dining to meaningful connections and life’s most cherished occasions. Each has become part of our story, and as we look towards our next decade, our ambition is to continue elevating the hospitality we offer while playing our part in strengthening Putrajaya’s appeal as a travel destination.”
At the heart of the anniversary celebration were the people who have been part of the hotel’s journey. The evening recognised 14 long-serving associates who have been with Le Méridien Putrajaya since its opening, before they joined distinguished guests for the ceremonial cutting of a 10-tier anniversary cake.

Held just days ahead of Malaysia’s 69th Independence Day, the soirée also celebrated guests from different backgrounds and cultures, local creativity and sense of place that have shaped Le Méridien Putrajaya’s first decade. Reflecting Le Méridien’s longstanding connection with art and culture, the evening featured an artwork of the hotel by renowned local artist Nor Asyikin Abdullah, Lakar by Mekar, alongside a live painting performance by Syamsul Addenno from OnWall Enterprise that brought Le Méridien Putrajaya and Putrajaya together on canvas. Together, the artworks captured the connection between the hotel and the city it has called home for the past decade.
As Le Méridien Putrajaya enters its next decade, the hotel’s vision is to build on the foundation of its first ten years by continuing to evolve its stays, dining and lifestyle experiences, while creating new ways for travellers to discover Putrajaya. At the heart of this next chapter is the same spirit of curiosity and discovery that has shaped the hotel’s approach to the Art of Travel, Joy of Living and Savouring the Good Life.
Extending the anniversary beyond the soirée, Le Méridien Putrajaya is inviting guests to join the celebration through a limited-time collection of stay and dining experiences inspired by its tenth year. The collection includes the Decade of Moments Stay, featuring accommodation, breakfast for two, an anniversary afternoon tea and commemorative touches, alongside The Art of 10, bringing together anniversary dining experiences across Le Mei, Latest Recipe and Latitude 02. From a 10-course degustation and signature dim sum at Le Mei to anniversary grand buffet, cocktails, éclairs and afternoon tea, the collection offers different ways to experience the hotel’s tenth anniversary.
The Le Méridien Putrajaya 10th anniversary collection is available for a limited time, with further details available through the hotel’s official channels.
