Evelyn Tan, IPC Shopping Centre’s Centre Manager

Throughout the past decade, IPC Shopping Centre has become more than just a neighbourhood mall as it attracts shoppers from far and near. On weekends, shoppers who are hunting for household items descend upon IKEA at IPC and if you are intent on going there on weekends, my advise is to go early as in before 11am as traffic begins to build up around 11am.

Anyway, IPC has just turned 10 and the celebrations kick start with IPC Shopping Centre giving back to the community via their very own “A Gift Of Smile” campaign in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities Malaysia (RHMC). Five thousand pieces of the specially designed limited edition Dala Horse felt charms in green colour will be up for sale at RM10 each piece. For every piece sold, IPC Shopping Centre will contribute an additional RM5 in hopes of raising a total of RM 75,000 for the charity. The campaign is in support of RMHC‟s cause to aid children born with cleft lip and palate in having a reason to smile again. The proceeds will also go to refurbish one of RMHC‟s special sensory rooms that assist children in their mental development and therapy.

IPC Shopping Centre is also offering free limited edition Dala Horse felt charms which come in two colours (red & blue) to shoppers when they spend a minimum of RM350 in a single receipt and exclusive to Citibank card members when they spend a minimum of RM300 in a single receipt while stocks last.

Other great promotions such as IPC’s “Shopping Centre Merriest 10th Contest” where shoppers are invited to spot and count the “Jingle Dala Horses and Yule Goats” in the Centre – a simple and fun contest with loads of hidden clues and surprises! Shoppers will stand a chance to win the grand prize of Therapedic Prestige Classic King Sized Mattress worth RM13, 699 by Harvey Norman, 10 IKEA Shopping Cards worth RM1, 000 each, cash vouchers from The Travel Store, 8Days Hair Studio, Cold Storage, Bras & Things and many more awesome prizes!

There will also be an interesting line-up of family entertainment and activities such as Snow Hour every Friday to Sunday starting from December 13, 2013. There will be two sessions a day of Snow Hour for half an hour each session. Merriments also include Christmas carollers, Winter Symphony Performance, Gingerbread Man workshops; meet Santa, IPC Smiley Bag Mascot appearance with various movie characters, magic shows and many more throughout the whole month of December.
