What A Great Start To Any Day!

There’s nothing like a hearty breakfast to kick start anyone’s day. I love hotel breakfast buffets as there’s always so much choice and although I don’t eat more than a bowl of cereal or two pieces of bread/pastries on a regular day, it’s nice to indulge in a breakfast buffet every now and then.

Staying in a Lifestyle room of the Renaissance Hotel, I had the option of having breakfast on the hotel’s 24th Floor East Wing but the choices would be a lot more limited than the fare at Temptations Restaurant where the choices seemed almost endless! From local favourites like nasi lemak to Continental pastries, what more could anyone ask for from a breakfast buffet? It was all there!

At Temptations’ egg station, I could request for eggs any which style and that includes Sunny Side Up, Omelette, Scrambled or my favourite, Egg Benedict. The English muffin that came with the egg was delicious and complemented the poached egg and Hollandaise sauce perfectly. This is so good that I went back for another one.

What a wonderful assortment of dim sum. I almost wanted to ask for “hoi sin” sauce to go with these little morsels.

They have vadai or the Indian doughnut. I think these are more healthy than the Western doughtnuts as vadai is made with lentils.

Waffles and French Toast – these can be very filling!

No breakfast would be complete without yummy pancakes.

There’s beef bacon, they look a bit like the Chinese dried meats.

Just love it when breakfast buffet includes fresh juices.

All in all, it was more than a hearty breakfast. I had much more than I normally do on an average day but this is part and parcel of a memorable hotel stay. Thinking about the Egg Benedict makes me want to go back there 🙂
