A few days ago, I ordered some cat and dog food from a seller in KL. The seller shipped two days after I ordered. It was shipped via J&T Express which worried me as my previous J&T shipments have been held up at their hub and I had to go and collect. The parcel arrived at their KL sorting hub and I thought it would then be delivered to me the same day but in the afternoon, it was sent to Kemaman, Terengganu.
As soon as I saw that status, I contacted J&T’s live agent online and was told it was missent (obviously) and they would re-route it back here after it’d arrived in Kemaman. Of course that meant an extra day before I could get my parcel which made me concerned about the state of the box and its contents once it arrived.
The next day after it was sent to Kemaman, the parcel arrived at the hub (last stop before being delivered to me) in the morning. Plenty of time for them to sort out and deliver to me which they should prioritise since my parcel had gone on an unnecessary journey to Kemaman. By noon, parcel was still stuck at the hub. When I first started ordering on Shopee months ago and the parcels shipped via J&T, they were very efficient as my parcels would be out for delivery by mid-morning but these days, my parcels would be lucky to be out for delivery by 12pm.
Since no one was delivering my parcel by noon, I contacted their live agent again and this time the agent was more unhelpful and understanding than the one the day before (when I informed them the parcel was on its way to Kemaman). She just replied that they couldn’t promise my parcel would be delivered to me that day as they had to sort it out. I just ended the live chat as there was no help at all.
By 12.30pm, I decided enough was enough and I had to go to the hub and collect otherwise who knows what condition the box would be in by the time it was finally delivered. I didn’t want the pet food to be crushed. When I got to the hub, it took them some time to locate my parcel and just as I expected, the box was in bad condition, more than half-opened. The seller hadn’t been mindful enough to seal the bottom of the box with cellotape.
The worst affected were the dog food cans as there were dents on the bottom of the cans even though there was bubble wrapping. Even Poslaju wouldn’t have delivered my parcel in such a terrible state and they don’t even update the status. After I collected, the status was that the parcel was still at the hub and later that it was in their storage! If at all possible, I would choose another courier company to deliver my parcels as this one is getting slack and totally unreliable.
