foodpanda Malaysia Launches Ramadan Initiative With Coca-Cola Malaysia And Viu Through Nationwide Food Basket Campaign

Shubam Saran, Director of Operations, foodpanda Malaysia, delivered his speech at the launch of foodpanda’s nationwide food basket distribution program to support 5,000 families with essential food supplies during Ramadan

foodpanda Malaysia, in collaboration with Coca-Cola Malaysia and Viu,  initiated a nationwide food basket distribution program in partnership with local NGO MyFundAction to support and distribute 5,000 food baskets to families in need across Malaysia. The initiative was inaugurated  by YB Fahmi Fadzil,  the Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai and Minister of Communications.

The initiative, beginning from March 11 and will run until April 9, 2024, will see  families across Malaysia  receiving food baskets valued at RM50 each throughout the month of Ramadan.  This initiative will begin by providing assistance to over 200 families in need in the Lembah Pantai Constituency. It aims to offer timely assistance to those who are  in need, especially during the month of Ramadan.

YB Tuan Fahmi Fadzil, the Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai and Minister of Communications, highlighted that foodpanda’s CSR program exemplifies its commitment to caring for the less fortunate, which aligns with the government’s agenda to provide relevant aid to those in need

YB Fahmi Fadzil said, “foodpanda’s commitment in implementing positive change is in line with the agenda and aspirations of the government, which places great emphasis on caring for the less fortunate, thus guaranteeing their well-being.”

Shubham Saran, Director of Operations, foodpanda Malaysia, highlighted the importance of community in the company’s latest initiative, saying, “Our primary goal here is to support the communities in which we operate, namely, Lembah Pantai where our local headquarters are situated.  We express gratitude to our corporate partners, Coca-Cola Malaysia and Viu, for their invaluable contribution, which enables us to broaden our reach and make a greater impact throughout Malaysia.”

In a further effort to involve the wider foodpanda community, the platform is enabling its customers to contribute to this  directly through the foodpanda app. By using the promo code DERMA, customers will not only receive RM1 off their order with a minimum spend of RM20 but foodpanda will also add on to the contribution of the food baskets that will be distributed.

In addition,Coca-Cola Malaysia and foodpanda will also double the donation amount for orders containing Coca-Cola Malaysia products. This is the second year Coca-Cola Malaysia has partnered with foodpanda during the month of Ramadan to distribute food and essentials to those in need.
