The Curve welcomes Malaysians to enjoy a festive Raya experience at the mall, taking inspiration from the hues and intricate pattern of the songket to transform its Centre Court into a whimsical Arabesque scene with a contemporary touch.

From April 1 to May 4, 2022, the influence of the songket, a luxurious handwoven fabric steeped in rich history, can be seen in the vibrant green, yellow and pink setting complete with elegant Moorish-style arches and miniature striped domes. With the use of LED lighting evoking the shine of the songket, the candy-coloured décor sparkles festively as it flows from the Centre Court through the Fashion Walk and to the Street.

As is customary for every festive occasion, the Curve is holding its signature musical dance performance at the Centre Court each weekend and on public holidays, with shows at 2.00pm and 5.00pm. One can expect a specially-choreographed extravaganza with stunning costumes during the “Raya Estetika” themed show. Additionally, patrons can enjoy upbeat Raya tunes and musical styles, ranging from keroncong, ghazal and caklempong and serunai fusion, with traditional Malay musical instruments and a modern Malay band.

Jazmi Kamarudin, Senior General Manager of Property Management & Investment, Boustead Properties Berhad, said, “After two years of low-key Raya celebrations, the nation is fortunately returning to a semblance of normalcy, with many looking forward to commemorating the special occasion with family and friends once again.

“We chose the songket as the main theme as it is more than a beautiful fabric; its weave can also symbolise the wonderful connection between family and loved ones. It is in this spirit that we welcome our valued patrons to the Curve this Ramadhan and Hari Raya, so they can strengthen bonds and reconnect.

“Whether it is to shop for Baju Raya, decorations, house essentials, buka puasa at our wide range of eateries or just enjoy the atmosphere, the Curve has something for one and all as they come together at our mall,” he said.

The mall has lined up various activities for all ages to enjoy, while the bustling Raya Bazaar at the Centre Court, Fashion Walk and Fashion Court features vendors offering an array of merchandise, from apparel and accessories to delicious treats.
