I had a RM50 Watsons voucher to use up by 24th January and didn’t know what to get. I went to several Watsons outlets as I was thinking of getting one of the Absolute NY eye shadow palettes but unfortunately, not all Watsons outlets have Absolute NY. I saw it at Watsons 1U and thought it would be available at Watsons outlets in KL but nope, didn’t find it after that. Finally, I had to get something or lose the voucher once it expired so I decided on Bourjois Paris Loose Powder 01 Peach (there are 2 shades, the other being 02 Rose).
Bourjois Paris Loose Powder 01 Peach is translucent as is shade 02. The difference is 01 seems more suitable for yellow undertone skins whereas 02 is more for those with pink undertone. However, the difference in these powders, once blended into skin, is quite minimal. I did a little test with the small testers available and preferred 01 as I like peach tones. Furthermore, the tub at 32g is BIG, another loose powder I was considering was only 9g, huge difference in size.
The texture is rather fine and airy but the puff is unwieldy to use as it doesn’t have a sash around it so you basically have to wrap your fingers around the edge of the puff to pat it on. Also, there are too many holes on the plastic over the powder so too much powder comes out.
It does mattify and once blended into skin, doesn’t look cakey or thick. I like the fact that it is made in France. Other than the design of the puff and tub, I have no complaints about the quality of the powder itself.
Bourjois Paris Loose Powder 01 Peach retails at RM52.90.
