You know how makeup brands always come up with new textures for their lipsticks? Well Bobbi Brown is one brand that has stuck to its Lip Color without much variation for a long time until now with the introduction of High Shimmer Lip Color. These new shades combine high-shine emollients and light-reflective pearls, the effect is quite sheer without the chunky feel you sometimes get with shimmer lipsticks.

My favourite of the 3 shades provided for this review is Raspberry Shimmer, it has the best colour pay-off and the shade is by far the most lovely and striking. It’s the least opaque of the three and not as sheer as Pink Gold and Malt Shimmer which left me looking a bit off colour. I need brighter lip shades and that’s my preference when it comes to lip shades.
What I like most about these lip shades is they are so comfortable to wear as they moisturize lips – there’s Shea Butter and Muru Muru Butter in them. They do last a few hours without fading, re-application is necessary after a meal.
Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lip Color is available in 12 shades, the other shades are Berry Shimmer, Plum Shimmer, Ruby Shimmer, Twilight Shimmer, Beige Gold Shimmer, Brown Shimmer, Calypso Shimmer, Pink Apricot Shimmer and Ballerina Shimmer. They retail at RM88 each.
