Teppanyaki At Fong Lye Taiwan Fusion Cuisine Restaurant

At Fong Lye Taiwan Fusion Cuisine Restaurant, you can be assured of a very fulfilling meal whether you choose to go during lunch or dinner. You can choose their steamboat or teppanyaki sets or even order from their a la carte menu if you don’t have time to sit through the set dishes.

This time, I was back for the teppanyaki which ends at 3pm for lunch. I was torn between the Wagyu course or the Land & Sea course which are essentially the same – Wagyu course has appetizer, salmon, scallop, prawn, wagyu beef, white or fried garlic rice and dessert while the for the Land & Sea course, Wagyu is replaced with Angus beef. The Wagyu course is priced at RM185 while the Land & Sea course is RM125.

I chose the Wagyu course and that is sumptuous especially for lunch.

appetizer

The appetizer really whetted my appetite as the crab was indeed delicious with the bit of salad mingled.

The soup was hearty and loaded with mushroom and vegetables.

Of course it’s entertaining to watch the teppanyaki chef at work as you wait for lunch to be served.

The best seafood – trio of salmon, scallops and prawn.

I was so looking forward to the wagyu, it looked so crispy on the outside but I was somewhat disappointed. Although it wasn’t overcooked, it was chewy and not that tender. As a result, I couldn’t consume most of it. The best part of this dish were the vegetables.

This almond dessert had a too strong almond scent and taste, I had a few spoonfuls and gave up. You have to be a huge fan of almonds to like thi

The stir fried la la @ RM21 was excellent. Much bettter than the wagyu.

Despite the high prices, they have a good lunch crowd. I think I might stick to the steamboat next time. I enjoyed it during my 1st visit there more than 2 years ago as they provide a variety of sauces.
