Juniper’s Jaunt To MAC Cosmetics Sale

Battling the early morning traffic to get to the city centre is not exactly my idea of a fun thing to do but hey, for MAC at discounted prices, I’ll do almost anything. I even woke up at 6.30am to mentally prepare myself to Veni Vidi Visa. Huffing and puffing, I got to Arcade Room 4 at Renaissance Hotel KL just in time for the doors to open. There weren’t many people compared to the Estee Lauder Staff Sale which will attract hundreds more people. This sale is exclusively for MAC PRO members and invited guests mostly from make-up academies but yours truly, being a friend of MAC of course would not miss this sale come hail or harsh weather.

MAC Cosmetics Sale was so much fun with products you won’t normally see at the Estee Lauder Staff Sale. Yes because there were brush sets from the Keepsakes Holiday 2014 Collection priced at just RM160 and individual limited edition brushes which I snapped up because of the limited supply and I know for certain they won’t be at the sale next month.

There was loose powder, Paint Pots, pigment sets from last year’s Holiday Collection, liquid and powder foundations, nail polish and lipstick/lip gloss sets, eyeshadow palettes, blush sets, softening lotion and products from the Prabal Gurung Collection including the kabuki brush. Oh yes, if you are a MAC fan and came out getting nothing, I would be wondering why as there was so much on offer!

My modest haul consisted of:-

P1310406(1)

Bleuluxe Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow @ RM80 (manufacturing date 05/2014)

P1310408(1)

Brush 127 @ RM75 (original price RM140)

Brush 187SE @ RM75 (original price RM180)

Brush 233 @ RM55 (original price RM103) (I have a feeling that I’ve already bought this at full price but at RM55, it doesn’t matter even if I already have it)

Double-Ended Brush 217 @ RM75 (original price RM135)

Now you know, I love make-up brushes but I keep them in mint condition. I collect and rarely use any that I own. Strange but I admit I am a brush hoarder.

These sets of 3 nail polish each were purchased by my friend and what a bargain as each bottle normally retails at RM45 whereas they were on sale for set of 3 @ RM45. What a fantastic sale, I was there for about half an hour but the retail therapy did me a world of good as I am less grumpy today ahahahaha! Thanks to MAC!
