Chinese New Year Set Menu At The Emperor Dorsett Grand Subang

dor

With all the Chinese restaurants in every town and city offering Chinese New Year set menus, families (big and small) are now taking the opportunity to book their reunion dinners at one of these restaurants. You don’t need to think of the preparation and the washing up, just enjoy every single minute with loved ones.

The Emperor at Dorsett Grand Subang offers set menus for 8-10 pax ranging from RM988++ to RM1588++ till 5 March 2015. For home dining, Salmon Yee Sang is available at RM48++.

At a food tasting recently, we partook of CNY Set Menu B @ RM1188++. Each dish has an auspicious name relating to CNY.

A SWEET YEAR AHEAD

Deep-Fried Chinese New Year Cake with Glutinous Dumpling “Shanghai” Style

The Steamed Lotus Leaf Rice with Diced Chicken and Yam was probably the best offering in this set menu as I found the steamed garoupa, spring chicken and prawns as well as the black chicken in the soup slightly overcooked. As for the desserts, my favourite would be Chilled Almond Nut with Dried Pear and Aloe Vera as it was very refreshing and I am trying to avoid deep fried foods since age is catching up!
