This year, Clinique launched its Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector, the upgraded version of their Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector. Enlarged pores remain one of the main skin problems faced by women especially ageing women because as our skin loses firmness and begins to sag, our pores take on an oval shape. With over 300,000 pores on every face, this is no small issue for most women.
Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector is upgraded with “smart” sebum-balancing ingredients and incorporates a blend of Hydrolyzed Soy Protein and Coconut Acid to help minimize sebum production only where needed. There are spherical optical diffusers and soft focus materials that help diffuse light to minimize the look of imperfections.
It comes in a long tube with a small opening at the tip. The Instant Perfector has a medium-thick texture but spreads easily on to skin. It provides a smooth canvas for applying foundation. It doesn’t add any colour to skin and can be worn under or over foundation, with just powder or on its own.
There’s a mattifying effect on skin. I use it on my cheeks where pores are most apparent, it has a concealing effect on pores. I also use it on my T-zone where I am most prone to shine. It keeps the shine at bay throughout the day.
