Although there are a number of Zoeva eye shadow palettes to choose from Sephora online, I was drawn towards ZOEVA Rodeo Belle Palette because of the shades on the bottom half of the palette – cactus green and gunmetal were calling out to me. Colourful eye shadow palettes like this really make my day.
From the packaging, there’s no doubt the palette is inspired by the Wild West as it reminds me of wooden salon doors or Wild West signs. Each shade is made of fine micronized pigments that ensure excellent coverage and superior colour payoff. Most of the shades do give very good colour payoff but it’s the colours on the bottom half of the palette which impressed me more.
As expected, I liked the cactus green shade (Hot Wind) most of all. 2nd favourite has to be Smoking Gun (on the right of Hot Wind) as this gunmetal shade makes a smoky eye look so easy. Generally, the metallic shades are beautiful and for a real pop of colour, Bang Bang is incredible – this pinkish rose shade will make your eyes stand out.
While I don’t mind that a brush hasn’t been included since I rarely use brushes that comes with eye shadow palettes, what this palette lacks is a mirror.
