The Tesco online Grocery Home Shopping (GHS) service which was introduced in April at the Tesco Extra Mutiara Damansara that caters to customers within 20km radius of the store, is now open to all customers in the greater Klang Valley area.

Now more than 5 million households in the Klang Valley will be able to experience the online and hassle free shopping experience and have their orders delivered directly to their homes. The online GHS service offers customers 15,000 lines of fresh and frozen food, groceries and non-food items such as health and beauty, baby needs and basic household items.

To mark the launch of Tesco’s Grocery Online Shopping, 12 lucky shoppers who shopped online with Tesco between the 11th and 17th June were given a chance to play the role of ‘personal shopper’ and take up the challenge in the ‘Pick & Win’ Contest! during the launch of the GHS at Tesco Extra Cheras.

The winner of the Grand Prize received a year of grocery worth RM12,000 in total, the second prize was RM9,000 worth of GHS vouchers, whilst the third prize winner walked away with RM5,000 worth of GHS vouchers. Tesco also gave away RM500 GHS vouchers to a consolation prize winner.

Product prices and promotions on http://eshop.tesco.com.my/ are the same as in stores. Clubcard holders can still earn Clubcard points using the online service as they do when shopping in stores. There is no minimum order, only a RM10 service charge per transaction.

Ordering grocery online is made simple by Tesco as customers can now place their shop online through Tesco’s website at http://eshop.tesco.com.my/. Click on the ‘Shop Online. We Deliver’ menu and there will be instructions guiding for registration or to sign in. Customers will be spoilt for choice with the extensive lines of fresh and frozen food, groceries and non-food items.

Once a shopping list is created, the customer can easily pick one of the six delivery timeslots available from 10.00am to 10.00pm, 7 days a week. These simple steps allow customers to finish their grocery home shopping with ease. Payment is only taken at the door upon receipt of the goods. All payments are by credit or debit cards. Customers can amend their order up until 11.00pm the night before. The customer only pays for goods actually received and accepted.
