T&CM Practitioners Day 2026 At KL Wellness City

The Traditional and Complementary Medicine (T&CM) Practitioners Day 2026 was successfully held at KL Wellness City, Bukit Jalil, bringing together practitioners, regulators, and industry leaders to advance governance, knowledge sharing, and collaboration within Malaysia’s T&CM sector.

Organised by KL Wellness City in support of the Ministry of Health Malaysia’s vision to promote safe, quality and responsible Traditional and Complementary Medicine, the half-day programme served as an official platform for professional engagement, information dissemination and sectoral dialogue, reinforcing the alignment of T&CM practices with national healthcare policies.

The event commenced with opening remarks by Dato’ Sri Dr. Vincent Tiew, Executive Director of KL Wellness City, who warmly welcomed all attendees and expressed appreciation to the T&CM industry for their ongoing contributions to Malaysia’s healthcare ecosystem. He emphasised the significance of the gathering as a platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and strengthening professional standards, highlighting the shared responsibility of practitioners, healthcare institutions, and regulators in advancing the credibility and growth of the T&CM sector.

Dato’ Indera Dr. Nor Azimi Yunus, Deputy Director General of Health (Medical), Ministry of Health, delivered the keynote address, officiating the T&CM Practitioners Day 2026 and acknowledging the contributions of practitioners and industry stakeholders to Malaysia’s healthcare ecosystem. She emphasised the Government’s commitment to ensuring that T&CM practices are safe, credible, and well-regulated, and highlighted the importance of aligning traditional and complementary medicine with national healthcare policies to support a sustainable and integrated healthcare system.

A key highlight of the programme was the KKM Briefing Session titled “Regulation of Traditional and Complementary Medicine Services in Malaysia”, delivered by Dr. Tajul Iqmal bin Dr. Tajul Arus, Head of the Inspectorate and Enforcement Section, T&CM Division, MOH. The session provided participants with updates on the regulatory framework, compliance requirements and enforcement mechanisms governing T&CM services nationwide.

The programme continued with a T&CM Forum, themed “Bridging Traditional Wisdom with Modern Recovery”, featuring insights from respected leaders and policymakers in the field.

Speakers included Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd.
