There is a reason I stay away from matte lipsticks even though they are generally far more lasting than your regular lipstick and that’s because they are far too drying for my lips. I tried Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick because I had such a nice shade. It’s #15 Lover, there are apparently 36 shades in this collection but not sure if all are available in Malaysia. I very much doubt all the shades were sold here as some shades are so funky that they probably only belong on the runway.
One swipe of this is all you need for saturated colour so you can be assured of good coverage and economic use, also because you probably don’t need to re-apply as often as other non-matte lipsticks. Although I like this fuchsia shade very much, I have to stick to less drying lipstick textures. I had to apply lip balm over this and it still felt a bit too drying to be comfortable. The arrow applicator ensures easy and fast application. It doesn’t budge at all, even when I washed the swatch with soap. Had to use a cleanser and even then had to rinse a few times to remove the colour from my skin.
