Families across generations came together in a warm and lively atmosphere
Sunway Sanctuary successfully hosted its “Generations of Love – A Mother’s Day Celebration” from 8–9 May 2026 at Sunway Sanctuary. The two-day celebration brought together families across generations in a meaningful tribute to motherhood. Centred on the theme “Generations of Love”, the event highlighted the many dimensions of motherhood, from women raising families, to expectant mothers preparing for new beginnings, to daughters expressing appreciation and gratitude for the maternal figures in their lives.
This Mother’s Day celebration was not only dedicated to honouring mothers among Sunway Sanctuary’s senior residents, but also extended to postnatal mothers, supported by a dedicated postnatal care centre located on one of the floors within the property, reflecting its commitment to care across different life stages.
The event kicked off with an opening ceremony and welcome address by Sunway Sanctuary’s newly appointed General Manager, Doris Chin. “We believe seniors should be empowered to remain active, engaged and connected. Sunway Sanctuary is designed to support a lifestyle where ageing is embraced with confidence and purpose,” said Doris Chin.
Sunway Sanctuary continues to strengthen its operational capabilities and reinforce its commitment to delivering high-quality senior living. The event also provided an opportunity to share a glimpse into Sunway Sanctuary’s future developments, including its upcoming Phase 2 renovation, which will expand its residential capacity from 235 to 456 units. This next phase reflects Sunway Sanctuary’s continued commitment to its vision as a senior living residence that supports active living.
As a health and wellness–integrated senior living residence, Sunway Sanctuary has been reflecting the growing demand for quality senior living and holistic care offerings. Staged in collaboration with Applecrumby®, a baby essentials brand, and MamaClub, a parenting media platform and community hub, the celebratory festival featured a lively mini bazaar showcasing curated products and lifestyle offerings for mothers and families, creating a warm, vibrant, and family-friendly atmosphere. Of meaningful highlight was the Appreciation Corner, where guests paused to write heartfelt messages dedicated to their mothers and maternal figures, creating a touching space of reflection and gratitude, at the event.
A series of interactive Mother’s Day workshops further enriched the experience, encouraging creativity, bonding, and shared moments among families. Guests also enjoyed a variety of game stations and activity booths, with prizes and lucky draw sessions adding excitement throughout the two-day event. Food and lifestyle experiences were also a key feature of the event, with Sunway Sanctuary introducing its
signature Full Moon Party Box, specially curated for postnatal mothers as part of its comprehensive postnatal care journey.
In line with Sunway Sanctuary’s holistic wellness philosophy, the Health & Wellness Corner offered a range of wellness services through collaborations with Sunway Medical Centre’s Women & Children Department, alongside Sunway Sanctuary’s in-house wellness team and external partners. Generations of Love – A Mother’s Day Celebration” reflects Sunway Sanctuary’s continued commitment to creating meaningful, wellness-driven experiences that celebrate family bonds across generations.
