Samsung Galaxy S22 Is The Best Phone I’ve Ever Used

I’ll be honest, I don’t get to review many phones so when I was offered the Samsung S22 to try out for 2 weeks, I was excited. My first impression when I opened the box was the size. It’s perfect for my hand unlike the S22+ which I reviewed a few weeks ago. The S22+ felt too big and heavy as my hand isn’t that big so I will go out on a limb here and say that I think the S22 is a better size for ladies’ hands although I am sure some ladies do prefer a bigger phone.

Galaxy S22’s screen measures 15.39cm (6.1″) and Galaxy S22+’s screen measures 16.65cm (6.6″). Actually, the S22 screen is big enough for me, I don’t feel any eye strain when I read news or watch videos. The phone is thin enough so that holding feels ultra-comfortable. As it is more compact than the S22+, I can slip it into my pocket without it protruding which happened with the S22+.

Love the colour

Although described as a ‘Phantom White’ colour, my unit is pleasantly not the white I am accustomed to. I was expecting a bland white but this colour has character. To me, it is more of a beautiful ivory and I find myself liking it more and more despite not being a fan of white colour. You can see it fit in my palm so perfectly.

You know how with some phones, it’s difficult to read whenever you’re outdoors in bright sunlight? I’ve had that problem with my previous (not Samsung) phones but with the S22, there’s no such issue as the 120Hz Infinity-O Displays are built with Dynamic AMOLED 2X with Vision Booster technology for high outdoor visibility, keeping the view clear in bright daylight or at night. It’s so seriously clear even when I stand under direct sunlight.

As it has a 4NM processor, the fastest chip ever on Galaxy, scrolling is super-duper fast. The other thing that is amazingly fast is the charging speed. I am astonished at just how fast it charges compared to my other Samsungs. I thought my other Samsungs charged fast until I tried out the S22. Yes, the battery is long-lasting. If I don’t use it other than for social media, then I reckon the battery can last at least 2-3 days without charding. This is THE phone to bring along on those trips where you have not much access to electricity haha!

Great experience watching videos on the S22

The sound is so clear and loud when I watch videos, the clarity is impressive. Almost as if the person speaking is in the room with me. The phone feels sturdy and let me admit I dropped the phone (accidentally of course) twice, it’s landed on the front and back. I was horrified since it isn’t my phone. I would have been less mortified if it was MY phone. However, I didn’t see a single scratch, thank goodness. It has an armour aluminum frame with tougher drop and scratch resistance. We all need tough phones like this as accidents do happen and I am sure all us have dropped our phones at least once.

Selfies/wefies look so good

As the size is so ideal for my hand, taking selfies is a breeze. The colours are sharp and there’s no doubt every photo comes out beautifully. In a nutshell, I love this phone and having had the phone on loan for the past 2 weeks, it makes me want to go out and get one for my own.
