There were a number of clothes in my wardrobe I hadn’t worn in a long, long time. My excuse was I didn’t have a garment steamer (I have an iron but too lazy to drag out the ironing board and put it away once finished) so it was time to hunt for one. Over the weekend, Aeon Big had a promotion on the Philips Easy Touch Garment Steamer GC507, normal price is above RM280 but their price for a few days ending 6th February 2019 was RM188. Never seen a Philips garment steamer at that kind of price before.
It comes with an adjustable pole and hanger with 3 adjustable settings (have to turn it up to the max for cotton clothes but minimum setting for delicates like silk). The water tank is quite large and I didn’t need to refill it even though I had about 6 garments to iron. Comes with a glove too but I didn’t need it as I didn’t find the steam unbearable.
As for performance, it doesn’t de-crease in a jiffy, you need to be a bit patient with this one but it is worth the price. Other garment steamers from Philips or other brands may perform better but I wasn’t willing to pay top dollar for something I would only use once in a blue moon. Overall, am satisfied with Philips Easy Touch Garment Steamer GC507.
