The official launching ceremony of the International Positive Energy Half Marathon & Sports Wellness Carnival 2026 was held today at KL Wellness City @ Bukit Jalil, officiated by YBhg. Tuan Samuel Lee, Deputy Director-General of Tourism Malaysia.
The launch event featured keynote speeches by Dato’ Sri Dr. Vincent Tiew, Executive Director of KL Wellness City, and Richmen Choo, main organiser and Managing Director of KT Cyclone Sdn. Bhd., who shared the vision and mission behind the international marathon.
Dato’ Sri Dr. Vincent Tiew highlighted the significance of the event, saying, “This launch represents more than just a marathon. It embodies our mission to promote Positive Energy values, well-being, moral upliftment, and social unity while connecting private, industry, and government sectors to create a truly holistic and energizing experience for all participants.”
“We are excited to bring together participants from over 30 countries for a marathon and wellness carnival that goes beyond sports. Through this initiative, we aim to energise, inspire, and unite the community, while supporting meaningful causes like the Malaysia Scout Club and the National Cancer Society Malaysia” remarked Richmen Choo.
YBhg Tuan Samuel Lee added, “I am honoured to officiate this launch at KL Wellness City, which perfectly showcases Malaysia’s potential as a wellness and tourism destination. Events like this bring together international participants, local communities, and government agencies to celebrate wellness, active lifestyles, and positive energy.”

The carnival will take place from 15 to 17 May 2026 at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil, whereas the marathon will be held on 17th May morning with participants from over 30 countries expected to join. The three-day program will include half marathon 21KM, 10KM, and 5KM Fun Run categories, over 300 wellness and sports exhibition booths, interactive workshops, Public Safety Exhibitions, Digital Safety & Cybersecurity Awareness, Relay for Life Activities including Torch Relay, Luminaria Ceremony (Light for Hope), and Cancer Survivor Celebrations, outdoor F&B Bazaar with over 200 halal and non-halal food vendors and a RichestLife Positive Energy Zone featuring motivational activities, family bonding, and health education.
Co-organisers of the event include: KT Cyclone Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia Scout Club, RichestLife (Super Life Secret Code), The National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM), and KLWC. The initiative also aims to raise funds for Malaysia Scout Club and NCSM, while promoting tourism, economic growth, and business opportunities for local communities through the F&B Bazaar and event activities.

The goal of the carnival is to energise the body, inspire the mind, and uplift the spirit for all participants, while showcasing Malaysia as a leading global destination for wellness and active tourism.
