Multi-talented singer-songwriter Timur Flores has released “Between My Sheets”, her latest single which blends the soothing rhythms of classic ballads with the upbeat stylings of new age pop and nu disco.
Between My Sheets follows the romance of a relationship, with the steady cadence signifying a seemingly everlasting love that lasts through the seasons.
“The song lyrics spends an entire year before reaching the bridge to the final chorus. The transition signifies entry into a new year, where their love for each other still remains as strong as when their first met,” said Timur.
In addressing rumours that the song is about a mysterious beau, Timur chuckled and said: “Between My Sheets was actually inspired by my Oyen (a term of endearment for marmalade tabbies in Malaysia). The inspiration came one morning when I saw my cat basking under the sun, the light dancing gently on her face.
“I quickly recorded a voice note and continued cuddling with her. It might sound silly to some but the emotional bond that we have with our furry friends is the purest form of love.” Between My Sheets will be available on multiple platforms including Spotify and YouTube from now.
Timur Flores is enjoying her freedom as an independent artist and is creating music based on her own passions and interests. Next year holds a lot of excitement as Timur embarks on a refreshed direction, sound, and collaborations with unique musicians and producers.
