It’s that time of the year again when we can all indulge in mooncakes. Every year, there are more choices and this time round, I was fortunate enough to taste mooncakes from a Chinese restaurant I haven’t been to before or tasted their mooncakes. These beautiful and tasty mooncakes are from Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya where they have all our favourite classic variations of mooncakes.

I tasted a few of these mooncakes and I can say that they are all low sugar. I am quite sensitive to sugar levels so I know if anything is too sweet for me. These are all right and my favorite is the Shanghai mooncake with its flaky, crispy, short crust pastry skin.
