Lim Seong Hai Capital Berhad (LSH Capital or the Group) today marked a defining moment in its corporate journey with a triple celebration commemorating the Group’s 60th Anniversary, the 30th Anniversary of Kuala Lumpur Tower and the official launch of Visit Malaysia Square @ Kuala Lumpur Tower.
Held under the theme “From Foundation to Skyline”, the joint celebration reflects a shared legacy of growth, transformation and contribution towards redefining Malaysia’s urban landscape, while ushering in a renewed vision for Kuala Lumpur Tower as a vibrant tourism and lifestyle destination at the heart of the capital.
The official launch of Visit Malaysia Square @ Kuala Lumpur Tower was officiated by Mr. Chua Choon Hwa, Deputy Secretary General (Tourism), Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC), and witnessed by tourism stakeholders, strategic partners, media representatives and industry leaders, against the iconic backdrop of the Kuala Lumpur skyline.

Six Decades of Nation-Building
Founded in 1966 by the late Lim Seong Hai as Lim Seong Hai Construction & Co., the Lim Seong Hai Group began as a modest construction outfit serving Malaysia’s emerging post-independence economy. Over six decades, the Group has grown into a fully integrated, diversified construction solutions provider with presence spanning across construction and engineering, property development, building materials, lighting and mechanical & electrical (M&E) products, hardware and tools, machinery rental, and facilities management activities.
The Group made its public market debut on the LEAP Market of Bursa Malaysia on 30th July 2021 and subsequently completed its transfer of listing to the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia on 21st March 2025, marking a significant milestone in the Group’s capital market journey and reinforcing investor confidence in its long-term growth strategy. Today, the Group’s proprietary BEST Collaboration Framework continues to differentiate its business activities, enabling cost optimisation, operational efficiency and value-added solutions for partners across the construction and property development value chain.

Ongoing developments centered along key projects including the LSH Segar Project, Lake Side Homes, LSH Sentul Ria and the LSH Bund underscore the Group’s continued contribution to Malaysia’s built environment, while the recent expansion into facilities management through the Kuala Lumpur Tower concession and the Morib Rejuvenation project opens a new chapter of recurring, sustainable income.
“From a single construction firm sixty years ago to a diversified group contributing to some of the country’s most recognisable landmarks today, our journey has always been guided by integrity, partnership and a long-term commitment to Malaysia. This 60th Anniversary is not only a celebration of our heritage, but a reaffirmation of our responsibility to the next generation of Malaysians,” said Tan Sri Datuk Seri Lim Keng Cheng, Chairman of LSH Capital Berhad.

A New Era for Kuala Lumpur Tower
Kuala Lumpur Tower has stood as one of Malaysia’s most iconic landmarks for three decades. Rising proudly above the city skyline and surrounded by the lush greenery of the KL Forest Eco Park, it has welcomed millions of visitors from around the world and become a defining symbol of the capital city.
In the year since taking over operations, LSHSM has invested in upgrading visitor-facing facilities, refreshing food and beverage offerings, strengthening safety and service standards, and expanding cultural and tourism programming. The renewed Kuala Lumpur Tower now offers an enhanced suite of experiences including panoramic skyline views from the Observation Deck, the open-air Sky Terrace, the iconic Glass Box suspended above the city skyline, and ORBIT Revolving Dining, the capital’s renowned revolving dining experience.

Looking ahead, LSHSM has outlined a multi-phase enhancement roadmap aimed at firmly positioning Kuala Lumpur Tower as a world-class tourism and lifestyle destination. Future plans include further upgrades to attractions and dining concepts, expanded cultural and community programming, the return of internationally recognised signature events such as the Kuala Lumpur Tower Base Jump and the Kuala Lumpur Tower Run International Challenge 2026 (KLTRIC26), and deeper integration with the surrounding KL Forest Eco Park, one of the oldest permanent forest reserves in Malaysia.
“Kuala Lumpur Tower is more than a structure on the skyline; it is part of the nation’s identity. Our role is to steward this national landmark with the care it deserves while reimagining it for a new generation of Malaysians and international travellers,” said Khairil Faizal Othman, Chief Executive Officer of LSH Service Master Sdn Bhd.

Launch of Visit Malaysia Square @ Kuala Lumpur Tower
As the centrepiece of today’s celebration, Kuala Lumpur Tower officially unveiled Visit Malaysia Square @ Kuala Lumpur Tower, a corporate social initiative by LSH Service Master Sdn Bhd (LSHSM) to provide a vibrant experiential tourism and lifestyle hub designed to bring Malaysia’s culture, creativity and multicultural identity to life within one dynamic destination in the heart of the capital.
Developed through strategic collaboration with the MOTAC, Tourism Malaysia, the National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN) and Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), Visit Malaysia Square will serve as a strategic platform to strengthen Malaysia’s positioning as a must-visit global tourism destination in support of Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026).
Weekly cultural and community-driven programming will be curated, ranging from traditional dance and music performances to batik workshops, local craft demonstrations and seasonal festive celebrations, will keep the Square activated throughout the year. Kuala Lumpur Tower is proud to be among the first attractions in Malaysia to introduce a dedicated experiential tourism and lifestyle space in conjunction with VM2026.
A Shared Legacy, A Shared Future
The convergence of these three milestones on 25th May 2026 underscores the Group’s broader contribution to the nation: from building Malaysia’s homes and infrastructure over six decades, to now stewarding one of its most recognisable landmarks and helping to project Malaysia’s identity to the world.
“The story of LSH Capital and the story of Kuala Lumpur Tower are now intertwined. Both speak to what is possible when Malaysian enterprise, government and community come together with a shared vision. As we celebrate today, we look ahead with confidence to the next chapter, for our Group, for Kuala Lumpur Tower and for Malaysia’s place on the global tourism map,” added Tan Sri Datuk Seri Lim Keng Cheng.
