We’ve all heard of sleeping masks but how many of us have heard of overnight face oils or used them? Of course many brands have facial oils but most, if not all of them aren’t specifically for applying before you go to sleep. Lipidol Overnight Face Oil supplements the skin’s natural oily layer stripped away by daily exposure to the elements. It is infused with ylang ylang and black pepper essential oils. That’s an unusual combination so I thought it might smell of pepper but I can only detect ylang ylang.
Unlike sleeping masks where there’s a layer of gel or cream on my face, this one feels less sticky and it isn’t as oily as one might expect. I wake up to well hydrated and smooth skin and there’s still a thin layer of the oil on my face. The scent is very relaxing and perfect for a tight sleep.
The only issue I have with this one is that ever since I incorporated it into my skincare regimen, there’s been a minor acne outbreak on the area around my chin! I think it is best not to apply it on areas of the face which are prone to acne.
At RM24.90 for 50ml, it is worth a try.
