Fabulous Finds Beauty Box

The idea of having a beauty box full of unknown contents delivered to your doorstep once a month sure sounds good. I’m all for opening a mystery box containing a mix of deluxe beauty samples since I get to try out products from different brands. Now that idea has become a reality with the launch of Malaysia’s very own beauty box subscription, Fabulous Finds.

Initially, I thought the subscription fee would be quite prohibitive but to my surprise, it’s just RM35 a month, cancellable any time with 30 days’ notice. Subscribers have a 2nd option of signing up for a year with a RM420 one time payment. With the 2nd option, subscribers are entitled to a free box in the 13th month and this subscription is also transferable to a 3rd party.

There are also gift options for 3, 6 or 12 months:-

(i) 3-month subscription (RM105)

(ii) 6-month subscription (RM210)

(iii) 12-month subscription (RM420)

I think even the 3 month subscription will make a terrific and meaningful (not to mention totally affordable!) birthday present because the giftee will be reminded of the gifter’s thoughtfulness months after her birthday.

The contents inside are beautifully wrapped up (in fact, if I didn’t know any better, I’d think it was more than RM50) with a pink bow and each box comes with a card detailing each of the products contained within. The fabulous part of this subscription is more than just the contents. The RM35 fee covers shipping via courier (Nationwide Express) to addresses throughout Malaysia.

Each box is filled with four to five deluxe samples from high-end and niche brands. These include a different mix of products ranging from cosmetics, skincare, fragrances, bodycare, haircare and nailcare. Fabulous Finds will send out the boxes on the 15th of every month, after payment has been received. If you sign up after the 15th, then you will receive your first box in the following month.

For subsequent boxes, the contents will be kept a surprise until you open them. There are 200 debut July boxes available. As 20 were distributed to bloggers at the recent launch event, there are 180 left for subscription. The last date to purchase the July boxes is 14th July 2012, while stocks last. The boxes will be shipped out to subscribers on 15th July 2012.

Fabulous Finds believes in giving back to the community and in this regard, Fabulous Finds is passionate about women’s causes. Each Fabulous Finds box is lovingly packed by women from disadvantaged backgrounds (single mothers, widows, etc.) and the income they provide from the packing goes towards supplementing their income to meet financial needs.
