While at Pavilion a few days ago, I came across La Collection Privee Christian Dior, available exclusively at the Dior Pavilion Boutique. Dior’s Fragrance Expert, Mr. Khoo is in town again so anyone can stop by their promo area just inside Pavilion’s main entrance for a very enlightening and informative consultation.
Faithful to the Couturier’s calling, La Collection Privee Christian Dior reflects the expertise and talent of its Perfumer-Creator François Demachy, who drew his inspiration from the unique heritage of the House.
La Collection Privee Christian Dior is a collection of rare, authentic, exclusive fragrances for both men and women, composed with noble and rigorously selected ingredients. These are true olfactory creations, with a flower at the heart of each, a signature of Dior fragrances.
There are 12 fragrances altogether in La Collection Privee Christian Dior and each is handcrafted in a traditional manner. The bottles are made by expert glass makers in Italy and designed to keep the fragrances fresh and the bottle cap reflects the pleat of a dress. The fragrances are hand packed. The caps are magnetic so you just slide them on and they lock in. These are premium fragrances like no other and if you learn about the precious ingredients that go into the creation of each fragrance, you will appreciate why the price is higher than the average bottle of fragrance.

The olfactory signature of the Couture House’s legendary location, 30 avenue Montaigne, has become a reality. The perfumer’s response to couture, this sophisticated chypre fragrance is a bold interpretation of the Dior Grey. The Couture Grey featured in the collections since 1947, the Calming Grey of Christian Dior’s family home in Granville, Pearl Grey like the façade of the boutique on avenue Montaigne. Colour becomes a perfume : a burst of citrus, a floral heart of Turkish Rose and Jasmine Sambac from the Indian region of Tamil Nadu, followed by a woody note heightened with Indonesian Patchouli set against a ambry backdrop of moss.
CUIR CANNAGE

In Granville, Normandy, stands the house where Christian Dior spent his childhood. Built on a hillside, overlooking the sea, it is surrounded by pine trees. Inspired by this place, that was so dear to the Couturier, François Demachy imagined a fresh, energizing, aromatic fragrance blending powerful and invigorating notes – Pine, Thyme and Rosemary – on a spicy, woody base of Black Pepper and Sandalwood. OUD ISPAHAN

The base features a hint of green mint that accents the freshness of citrus, with a touch of boldness that brings an unexpected signature to this fragrance.
FÈVE DÉLICEUSE
An irresistibly delectable creation with all the seductiveness of a singular Dior sophistication. Fève Déliceuse endeavors to heighten the sensuality and natural aromatic density of the Tonka Bean. To give its power a smooth finish, François Demachy teamed it with the warm and slightly smoky notes of the Madagascar Vanilla.
During the fragrance consultation, it was determined that my favourite fragrance in La Collection Privee Christian Dior is Granville. Yes, I think I do love the air Christian Dior used to breath every morning and would like nothing better than to be enveloped in that scent night and day. All the fragrances in La Collection Privee Christian Dior are stronger and more long-lasting than other Dior fragrances and definitely a lot more unique. These fragrances in La Collection Privee Christian Dior will make the wearer stand out in a crowd.
