‘Jemput Makan’ returns this Ramadan, brimming with much-anticipated delights and a story to tell. Known for weaving immersive themes into its dining experience, this year’s edition transports guests into the legendary world of 1,001 Arabian Nights. Bringing to life the spirit of storytelling, feasting and tradition, diners are invited to revel in a season inspired by the joy and longevity of timeless tales.
Step into a realm of indulgence where an opulent spread awaits, filled with bold, spice-laden flavours from the old Arab world. Savour the succulence of Spit-Roasted Whole Lamb, the rich layers of Maqluba (an aromatic Middle Eastern rice dish with meat and vegetables), the irresistible textures of Chicken Fatteh (a blend of shredded chicken, crispy pita, creamy yogurt and spiced chickpeas), Havj Polo (Persian Carrot Rice), Turkish Pide, Mixed Grill and many others.
The feast continues with a variety of international delicacies, and beloved local dishes catering to every palate. Complementing the main dishes is an abundant selection of seafood on ice, vibrant salads and a decadent dessert counter filled to the brim with delightful sweets and treats. Having experienced the Jemput Makan Iftar Buffet a few nights ago, I think it is the best hotel Iftar Buffet I have been to as the theme is so immersive. The waiters are in colourful monochromatic thobes, it’s as if we have been transported to a food bazaar in the Middle East. The buffet spread is nothing short of lavsih and completely indulgent, from starters to mains and the wonderful array of mouth-watering dessert. I could come back here night after night, to hear the stories which I have loved since childhood and to partake of the rest of the buffet which I didn’t have room for. Everything here is top quality (that includes the clearing of plates) and this is a buffet that is value-for-money in terms of both quality and quantity of choices.
