The Dude reviews L’oreal Paris Men Expert White Activ OilControl Moisturizer Gel Cream which has been formulated for those with combination and oily skin. It’s said to control and absorb excess oil and shine. This is his experience with the product:-
Tried the White Activ nightly for a week after my shower. There’s an initial cool sensation to my face upon application, doesn’t last though. The product works to a certain degree by giving my face a matte look but while my face is less oily when I wake up, it’s certainly not an oil-free effect as claimed. Perhaps my face is naturally too oily, but men’s skins generally are pretty oily anyway especially in our hot and humid climate and note that I sleep without the aircond. I also did not apply it in the morning.
White Activ is easy to apply and absorbs easily. Nice texture & smell with only a little required. Only grouse is there’s a wee bit of residual with tiny fine white specks occasionally appearing when I happened to rub my face a little. This does not happen each of the 7 days I used the product so probably it’s just a matter of overapplying which I could have done on those couple of days in the 7. Which means it’s a cost effective product, one does not need to apply much at all.
For the price (RM29.90 for 50ml) I think it does the job reasonably well.
