Gucci Made To Measure EDT

Although I have seen promo images of this fragrance before, it didn’t prepare me for the moment when I took this out of the box. This feels like a solid perfume! Presented in an haute parfumerie quality glass bottle, the bottle itself justifies the price as each flacon bears a hand-brushed – thus individually finished – solid metal cap, in an exclusive golden colour, featuring the House’s famous horsebit sitting prominently aloft it. Elegant!

I tried it on myself as I have always wondered if I could carry off a men’s fragrance. I love the musky scent, there’s something distinctively Oriental about it. The ingredients that have gone into this fragrance are exotic:-

Top notes: Calabrian Bergamot, Tunisian Orange Flower, French Lavender, Anis Seed

Heart notes: Sri Lankan Nutmeg, Water Lily, Juniper Berry, Plum, Cinnamon

Base notes: Cistus Labdanum, Patchouli, Leather, Amber

The scent lasts and lingers on my skin hours after it’s been sprayed on. I actually like this more than some women’s fragrances I have reviewed before. I guess it’s because I am into strong scents. I don’t see the point of spending hundreds on fragrances that will dissipate in half an hour. This one doesn’t and so is worth every sen.
