For the 5th year running, Estee Lauder Model Search ended with a Grand Finale at Suria KLCC Concourse tonight that was hosted by Nazrudin Rahman (known as “Naz”). After 12 weeks, 4,000 contestants and 5,000 online votes, 20 finalists were selected – 10 finalists for Category A competing for below 29 years of age and 10 finalists for Category B for the above 30 years title.
All 20 finalists were given a 1 day intensive catwalk and modelling training by Andrews Models. They were dressed in exclusive couture designs by Carven Ong. They wore 2 sets of couture dresses, the first were the latest cocktail dress collection named “Prominent Ladies”, inspired by women who are independent, determined yet simple and soft while the second were the evening gowns themed “Fashion Extravaganza” that is inspired by modern Anastasia in bold colours to signify the strong character of a princess but yet utterly feminine and elegant.
There were 5 Subsidiary Prizes other than the Grand Prizes but only 3 winners this year. The winners of the Subsidiary Prizes are Bettini Annalisa aged 17 (Estee Lauder-Miss Smile Korea & Estee Lauder-Canon Most Photo Perfect) and Noorfara Atilia Bt Karin aged 22 (Estee Lauder-Carven Ong Most Couture, Estee Lauder-Andrewsmodels Most Promising Catwalk & Estee Lauder-Miko Galere Ambassador).
The Grand Prize winners took home prizes worth a total of RM51,500. Noorfara Atilia Bt Karin was the Grand Prize Winner of Category A while Joanne Beryl Christine Stevens aged 35 was the Grand Prize Winner of Category B. Congratulations to both of them!
