NONGSHIM SHIN Ramyun, Korea’s No. 1 instant noodle brand, announces the return of its groundbreaking NONGSHIM TikTok K-drama micro series with Impian Di Seoul, the highly anticipated second season following the viral success of Salju Di Busan.
Reuniting NONGSHIM Malaysia Brand Ambassadors Khai Bahar and Wany Hasrita, Impian Di Seoul delivers deeper emotional twists, rising suspense, and addictive cliffhangers set to keep audiences hooked episode after episode. Premiering during the 9th Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest) 2026, the new season marks another milestone in NONGSHIM’s evolving storytelling journey, underscoring the growing recognition of branded microdramas as a legitimate and engaging entertainment format.

Salju Di Busan, NONGSHIM’s inaugural TikTok-exclusive K-drama launched last year, captivated audiences with its blend of Korean-inspired storytelling, local flavour, and dynamic short-form entertainment. Beyond generating strong audience engagement, the campaign also contributed to a notable uplift in product sales, reinforcing the growing influence of entertainment-led marketing among Malaysian consumers.
With Season 2, NONGSHIM doubles down on its mission to engage digital-savvy youth with stories that resonate. After exploring friendship and rivalry in Busan, the new season dives into the pressures of pursuing one’s dream career, authenticity, and online culture in Seoul, while celebrating Malaysia’s love for food, creativity, and cultural fusion.

“The overwhelming response to our first TikTok micro series exceeded all expectations,” said Antonio Jo, CEO / President of NONGSHIM. “What began as a bold experiment has blossomed into a cultural phenomenon, uniting Korean and Malaysian audiences in a new wave of digital storytelling. Beyond strong viewership and audience engagement, we also saw meaningful business impact, demonstrating that authentic storytelling can create genuine connections with consumers. For Season 2, we are raising the bar not only to entertain, but also to celebrate the shared love for drama, food, and creativity that connects Malaysia and Korea.”
Foo Siew Kheng, Commercial Manager of GBA Corporation (NONGSHIM Malaysia) added, “As a brand rooted in flavour and fun, we are thrilled to see Salju Di Busan spark such excitement among Malaysians. The first season also featured NONGSHIM’s original soundtrack, Makan Cintaku, a soulful duet by Khai Bahar and Wany Hasrita that further deepened audiences’ emotional connection with the story. Season 2 is our commitment to keep things fresh by blending relatable stories with innovative digital formats that truly engage local audiences. And just like our stories, there’s always something new and flavourful we would like to introduce from NONGSHIM.”
“At MIFFest, we believe great storytelling has the power to transcend formats, platforms, and borders. As audience behaviours continue to evolve, it is exciting to see new forms of storytelling, such as microdramas, finding their place within the broader creative landscape. Projects like Impian Di Seoul reflect how brands, filmmakers and digital platforms can come together to create stories that are emotionally authentic, culturally relevant, and capable of resonating with audiences in meaningful ways,” said Joanne Goh, Founder and President of the Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest).

Premiering during 9th MIFFest 2026, Impian Di Seoul reflects NONGSHIM’s belief that storytelling can extend beyond traditional advertising to become a meaningful way of expressing the brand’s values, cultural relevance, and emotional authenticity. As the boundaries between cinema, digital entertainment, and branded content continue to evolve, the series demonstrates how compelling stories can transcend both platform and purpose.
