Expo 2026 with the first public appearance of the highly anticipated JAECOO J5 EV, marking the debut of the brand’s first fully electric vehicle in Malaysia. Ahead of its official launch, the JAECOO J5 EV represents a significant milestone in OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia’s electrification journey while offering visitors an exclusive first look at the brand’s next-generation electric SUV.

Designed for urban explorers, young families and pet lovers, the JAECOO J5 EV introduces a fresh approach to electric mobility by combining contemporary styling, intelligent technology and practical versatility. As OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia’s first fully electric SUV, the J5 EV is powered by a front-mounted electric motor producing 155 kW and 288 Nm of torque, delivering smooth and responsive performance for both daily commuting and weekend adventures.
Powering the JAECOO J5 EV is a 58.9 kWh CATL Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering a WLTP driving range of up to 402 KM. Designed for everyday convenience, the battery supports DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in just 28 minutes, allowing drivers to spend less time charging and more time exploring. The J5 EV also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, enabling owners to power compatible external electrical devices directly from the vehicle, making it an ideal companion for camping trips, outdoor activities and active lifestyles.
Beyond its electrified powertrain, the JAECOO J5 EV has been thoughtfully designed to complement modern lifestyles, especially for pet-loving families.
